The first character I am exploring in this post is Mr Gold/ Rumpelstiskin during the first two seasons which I absolutely adore in his complexity.
Rumpel has dealt with abandonment from his father, the death of his mother, he was called a coward and had lots of public humiliation, one example being when one property owner forced him to kiss his shoe in front of his son. Furthermore, during the war, he lied to his superiors and broke his own leg so he is not forced to fight and risk his life, his injury being the perfect excuse for him to be sent back home. As usual, in life, when it rains it pours and due to rumors having reached his village about the cowardice on the warfront concerning the leg injury, his reputation of a coward has been intensified, and as a result his wife left him and his son. Rumpelstiltskin did not have the courage to stand up for himself in front of these humiliations, this magnifying his fears and cowardice over time.

Welcome back to the blog beautiful readers, today’s topic is very dear to my heart and I will explore different facets of it with you in the future as well as I believe our creator has contoured each and every one of us with very unique and specific designs in mind. For that reason, it is important to get to know both ourselves and our creator in order to honor that design. I believe as humans we all have common shared purposes but at the same time, we all have very unique paths we are called to walk on as well. That design is closely tied to the concept of femininity and masculinity. As natural as these topics are, they can be very controversial these days. My vision with discussing this topic is not tying ourselves up into more stereotypes about how femininity and masculinity should look like but instead discover our unique cocktail, get joy from it and become freer.
